Cleveland Road Animal Hospital, Pet Hotel, Wooster Opens

Efficiency, added space, state of the art equipment and pure pride in the Cleveland Road business corridor are just some of the features of the new Cleveland Road Animal Hospital.

The building opened April 1 and accepted boarded pets a week before.

Anyone who visited the original building could see space was an issue, which Drs. Stephanie and Chad Bailey noted was an issue the first day they purchased the business from Dr. James Howard.

“We did everything in two rooms … we fought for room whenever we could get it,” Stephanie Bailey said, walking around the new medical spaces and Pet Hotel.

Features of the building include five exam rooms, a consultation room, a drive-through pharmacy and separate dog and cat facilities. New ICU, surgery and dental suites along with state of the art X-ray and ultrasound equipment round out the hospital side of the 14,000-square-foot building.

The medical spaces also are “patient-centric” and opened up so anyone can see what’s going on in each of the units. Anyone who walks through the building can instantly notice there are a lot of windows.

“There’s a misconception with vets that (we) just take pets in the back and don’t really do anything,” said Chad Bailey about their conscious efforts to include windows wherever possible. “We’re not hiding anything.” Some areas do require a certain amount of privacy, just as any medical facility, he noted.
