Our usual vet no longer does this surgery, and we went to an office locally thinking since they offered 24 hour emergency care, if something should go awry, she would be protected. Yesterday (SUNDAY) her stitches popped, and her insides were hanging out. We tried the "emergency care number" left several messages and absolutely no one answered.An Angel recommended us to Cleveland Road Animal Hospital in Wooster. If it wasn't for the caring staff, we would have lost her. It was literally a Life/death situation. They assisted with everything, put her on antibotics, pain meds, and anti-inflammatory meds. They even clipped her nails while she was sedated. She is returning to her happy self, and we are beyond grateful. We finally did get a call-back from the vet who did the original surgery (3 HOURS LATER). If we had waited for them, we wouldn't have the outcome we got with Cleveland Road Animal Hospital!! I can't thank you all enough. I wanted to give Sylvia at the front a HUGE SHOUTOUT! You're a rockstar, she helped me when some things because my brain was focused elsewhere. The first doctor I saw, Dr. Travis, was amazing. He explained everything clearly, and we had a great experience overall. A few days later, I had to bring my cat back because he still wasn’t doing well. Unfortunately, my experience the second time with Dr. Igoe was not as positive. My cat had lost 2 pounds because he hadn’t eaten in four days. Dr. Igoe told me that he probably had cancer and recommended several unnecessary tests, Such as X-rays, which wouldn't have given us answers anyway. Thankfully, my cat is completely fine now, but I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Igoe. She also didn’t explain things well, and I felt like my concerns weren’t being heard.E B.
