Dr. Ashley Carlisle spent her early years in Athens, Ohio prior to moving to Tiffin. She completed her Bachelors degree in Equine Pre-veterinary medicine at Otterbein University located in Westerville in 2013. While in college, she completed internships at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota.
Dr. Carlisle then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time there, she completed additional rotations in exotic and zoological medicine, as well as externships at Edenwood Veterinary Clinic in Tiffin, and Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. She Graduated from U.T. with her D.V.M. in the Spring of 2017.
After graduation, Dr .Carlisle accepted an internship at Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. Under supervision of mupltiple veterinarians, including an ABVP veterinarian, Dr. Carlisle gained experience in areas including general practice, surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and exotic animal medicine.
Today, Dr. Carlisle is excited to be working with the staff at Cleveland Road Animal Hospital, and to be closer to her family. Her areas of interest include educating clients concerning their new pet, preventative care, and exotic animal medicine.
Dr. Carlisle resides in Wooster with her dog, a cavalier king charles spaniel, named Blitzen. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, kayaking, playing soccer, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.
