Ultrasounds
The doctors at Cleveland Road have had advanced training in veterinary ultrasound, and utilize the most modern ultrasonography equipment available today. Ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool for imaging soft tissue and internal organs. In addition to
confirming pregnancies, certain abnormalities, such as tumors, abscesses, cysts, bladder or kidney stones, fluid pockets and obstructions are all easily detected and measured with ultrasound. Ultrasound may also be used to help guide a needle when performing a needle biopsy of tissue. Ultrasound is non-invasive, and considered very safe. Depending on the tissues being analyzed, sedation is usually not required.
